🌍On 22nd April 2009 the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution declaring 22nd April as the “International Mother Earth Day.

🌎In 2005 the United Nations General Assembly declared 2008 as the “International Year of Planet Earth

 🌍 विश्व पृथ्वी दिवस : 2021 🌍

📮 थीम : रीस्टोर द अर्थ (Restore the Earth) जिसके तहत इस बार 20 से 22 अप्रैल तक 3 दिन का क्लाइमेट एक्शन कार्यक्रम रखा गया है।

🪴 उद्देश्य ➛

➥ दुनिया भर के लोग पृथ्वी और पर्यावरण के प्रति लोगों में जागरुकता फैलाने के लिए ताकि हर कोई कदम से कदम मिलाकर पृथ्वी को बचाने का संकल्प धारण करें।  

🏡 शुरुआत ➛

➥ पृथ्वी दिवस की स्थापना अमेरिकी सीनेटर जेराल्ड नेल्सन द्वारा वर्ष1970 में की गई थी। 

➥ वर्तमान में 192 से भी अधिक देशों में हर साल विश्व पृथ्वी दिवस मनाया जाता है। यह तारीख उत्तरी गोलार्द्ध में वसंत और दक्षिणी गोलार्द्ध में शरद ऋतु की शुरुआत है।

➥ जेराल्ड एंटोन नेल्सन एक अमेरिकी राजनीतिज्ञ और विस्कॉन्सिन के पर्यावरणविद् थे, जिन्होंने संयुक्त राज्य के सीनेटर व गवर्नर के रूप में कार्य किया था।

📆 अर्थ वीक ➛

➥ हालांकि, कई बार अर्थ वीक भी मनाया जाता है जिस दौरान पूरे हफ्ते के लिए कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया जाता हैं। और पर्यावरण से संबंधित मुद्दों पर चर्चा की जाती है। 

➥ वर्ष 2021 में पर्यावरण संबंधित मुद्दों पर चर्चा की जा रही है, जिसके तहत क्लाइमेट चेंज से लेकर प्रदूषण व डिफॉरेस्टेशन तक के मुद्दों को शामिल किया गया हैं। 

➥ इस कार्यक्रम में यूएस प्रेसिडेंट जो बाईडन ने देश-विदेश के करीब 40 वर्ल्ड लीडर्स को वर्चुअल समिट का हिस्सा बनने के लिए आमंत्रित किया है।

Earth Day

✅Earth day is observed on Apri122 in order to create awareness about pollution and to celebrate the environment of the blue planet.

✅To promote ecology and raise awareness of the growing problems of air, water, and soil pollution, Earth Day was founded by Senator Gaylord Nelson.

✅This year, it will be the 51st anniversary of Earth Day with the theme "Restore Our Earth"

✅It was first held on April 22, 1 970, it now includes a wide range of events coordinated globally by EARTHDAY.ORG (formerly Earth Day Network) including I billion people in more than 193 countries.

✅On Earth Day 2016, the landmark Paris Agreement was signed by the United States, China, and some 120 other countries.

✅This signing satisfied a key requirement for the entry into force of the historic draft climate protection treaty adopted by consensus of the 195 nations present at the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris.
