1. Masculine (पुलिंग): A noun which indicates male is called masculine gender.
Such as: Boy, King, Son.

(वैसा संज्ञा जो पुस्र्ष जाति के बारे मे जानकारी देता है उसे पुलिंग कहते है।)
जैसे बेटा, राजा, लङका, आदि.

2. Feminine (स्त्रीलिंग): A noun which indicates female is called feminine gender.
Such as: Girl, Queen, Daughter.

(वैसा संज्ञा जो स्त्री जाति के बारे मे जानकारी देता है उसे स्त्रीलिंग कहते है।)
जैसे बेटी, रानी, लङकी, आदि

Adding "ई" suffix to masculine noun to convert a feminine words:

बङा - बङी (Bada - Badi).

देव - देवी (Dev - Devi).

भला - भली (Bhala - Bhali).

घोङा - घोङी (Godaa - Godii).

बेटा - बेटी (Beta - Beti).

Adding "आ" suffix to masculine noun to convert a feminine words:

बाल (boy) - बाला (Girl): Baal - Bala.

प्रिय (Dear) - प्रिया (Dear): Priya - Priyaa.

Adding "इया" suffix to masculine noun to convert a feminine words:

बुढा(Old man) - बुढिया (Old women).

कुत्ता(Dog) - कुतिय़ा (Bitch).

बंदर (Monkey) - बंदरिया (Fem monkey).

Adding "नी" suffix to masculine noun to convert a feminine words:

मोर (mas peacock) - मोरनी (fem peacock)

शेर (lion) - शेरनी (fem lion)

Some words meaning are same but gender is different. Let us see with example:
(कुछ शब्दो के अर्थ समान होते है लेकिन अलग होते है। )

जैसे (Example):

कवि (poet) - कवयित्री (poetess).

विद्वान (scholar) - विदुषी (fem scholar).

नेता (leader) - नेत्री (fem leader).

महान (great) - महती (onerous).

साधु(saint) - साध्वी (vestal).

actor (अभिनेता)-----> actress (अभिनेत्री)

bachelor (कुँवारा)-----> spinster (कुँवारी)

baron (तालुकदार)---->baroness (तालुकदार स्त्री)

beau (छैला) ----> belle (सुन्दरी)

bridegroom (दूल्हा)----> bride (दुल्हन)

count (कुलीन जन)---->countess (कुलीन स्त्री)

emperor (सम्राट)-----> empress (साम्राज्ञी)
