● The movement describes itself as a decentralised, international and politically non-partisan movement using non-violent direct action and civil disobedience to persuade governments to act justly on the Climate and Ecological Emergency.
● It has three key demands: Governments should ‘tell the truth’ about the climate crisis; commit themselves to act on net zero carbon emissions by 2025; and create citizens’ assemblies that will advise them on a just transition.
