National Climate Vulnerability Assessment Report:

● Released by: Department of Science and Technology(DST)  

● Purpose: To identify the most vulnerable states and districts in India with respect to current climate risk and key drivers of vulnerability. 

● The report has identified eight eastern states as highly vulnerable to climate change: Jharkhand, Mizoram, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh and West Bengal. 

● These states are mostly from the eastern part of the country and they require prioritization of adaptation interventions.
