KARA SEA

• This is an arm of the Arctic Ocean off the northern coast of Russia.

• It is bounded in the west by the islands of Novaya Zemlya.

• This sea has rich marine life especially whales, seals, and cods.

• The salinity of its waters is low, being only about 31 per thousands.

• It, however, remains frozen during the winter season.

• The Eskimos stay along its coast during the summer season.
