ЁЯФ╣ About
1. LCA programme was initiated by GoI in 1984 by establishing Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA)
2. Tejas has replaced the ageing Mig 21 fighter planes.
3. Designed by Aeronautical Development Agency under the Department of Defence Research and Development.
4. Manufactured by State-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).

ЁЯФ╣ Features
1. The lightest, smallest and tailless multi-role supersonic fighter aircraft in its class.
2. Designed to carry a range of air-to-air, air-to-surface, precision-guided, weapons.
3. Air to air refuelling capability.
4. Maximum payload capacity of 4000 kg.
5. Maximum speed of Mach 1.8.
6. Range is 3,000km.

ЁЯФ╣ Variants 
1. Tejas Trainer: 2-seater operational conversion trainer for training air force pilots.
2. LCA Navy: Twin- and single-seat carrier-capable for the Indian Navy.
3. LCA Tejas Navy MK2: This is phase 2 of the LCA Navy variant.
4. LCA Tejas Mk-1A: This is an improvement over the LCA Tejas Mk1
