and shared purpose" of the nations.

👉🏻India Participated in the first Summit for Democracy..

👉🏻Its annual summit and in 2022 it is expected to be in-person meeting.

Theme and Objective 

👉🏻 Aims to bring together the world's democracies.

👉🏻To strengthen their democratic institutions.

👉🏻 Forge a common agenda to address threats.

👉🏻 Fighting corruption,Defending against authoritarianism.

👉🏻Promoting respect for human rights.

Participation 

👉🏻Total of 110 countries are invited.

The invitees from the Asia-Pacific region.

👉🏻Countries like China and Bangladesh were not invited.

India 🇮🇳Observation 

👉🏻India said that technology companies should contribute to preserving open and democratic societies.  

👉🏻India conveyed that the democratic spirit is integral to Indian civilization.

👉🏻 Indian PM said that Democratic spirit,including respect for rule of law and pluralistic ethos, is ingrained in Indians..
