๐ฏSickle-cell anaemia is an inherited group of blood disorders that can lead to less oxygen supply in the body causing fatigue.
๐ฏIt affects haemoglobin, the protein that carries oxygen through the body.
๐ฏNormally, red blood cells are disc shaped and flexible to move easily through the blood vessels.
๐ฏIf you have sickle cell disease, your red blood cells are crescent or “sickle” shaped.
๐ฏThese cells do not bend and move easily and can block blood flow to the rest of your body. Thus restricts the flow of oxygen in the body.
