National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF)

✅ The National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) has been formed under Section 46 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005.

✅ It is managed by the central government to meet the expenses of emergency response, relief and rehabilitation due to any disaster situation or disaster.

✅ It assists the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) in case of severe natural disaster, provided sufficient funds are not available in the SDRF.

✅ The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) audits the accounts of the NDRF.
