The Chenab River

✅ Chenab river is a major river flowing through India-Pakistan and is one of the 5 major rivers of Punjab region.

✅Origin

✅It originates from the Baralacha-La Pass in the upper Himalayas in Lahul and Spiti districts of Himachal Pradesh, India.

✅After this, Chenab river flows through Jammu region of Jammu and Kashmir.

✅Enters the Punjab plain of Pakistan and later joins the Sutlej River.

✅The river Chenab is formed at the confluence of two rivers Chandra and Bhaga in Tahi in Lahul and Spiti districts of Himachal Pradesh.

✅Bhaga River originates from Surya Tal Lake which is located near Baralacha-La Pass in Himachal Pradesh.

✅The Chandra River originates from the glaciers east of Baralacha-La Pass (near Chandra Tal).
